Delivered promptly at 8 am every week, Knowland’s reader board reports are user friendly and tailor made for your property. Each week on the day or days of your choosing the report arrives in the body of an email and contains the meeting activity for the previous seven days at each of the comp set hotels you choose. Our reports, called 8 AM Comp Set Reports or 8 AM CSRs for short, are designed to allow for quick skimming or in-depth study. There are several different versions of the report, allowing you to choose which is best for you and your property. Each one contains the meeting activity for the previous seven days at each of the comp set hotels you choose as well as any users assigned to that group.
Choose the report that’s right for you
To meet our client’s diverse needs, we offer four different types of 8 AM CSRs:
- The Knowland Reader Board Report shows the meeting activity in your comp set for the previous seven days, including event details such as number of attendees and square footage used. After each day there is a list of contact information our researchers have compiled for each group.
- The Knowland Consolidated Report puts each group’s contact information directly below that group’s event details for quicker viewing.
- For those who are accustomed to the traditional reader board report format, the Knowland Old Fashioned Weekly Reader Board Report simply provides a list of events for each hotel with no group contact information.
- If you would rather simply view your reader report online, you can also choose to receive an email with a link to your Readers calendar view for that week. This is the default option for new Readers users.
An in-depth, up-to-date look at the hospitality business in your area
The 8 AM CSR begins with the top news from your comp set. Skim all the biggest stories happening right now with your competitors and click the headline to read the full story. At the top of the report you will also find hotel and travel trivia as well as other interesting facts we have compiled about the hospitality industry.
Next there is a section with stacked bar graphs analyzing the group activity of your comp for the last month. These graphs compare the number of events held, square footage used, percent of square footage used, and more. Imagine how invaluable this data could be for your sales team. With one glance they can compare how your property is faring with your comp set and spot event booking trends in your region.
The largest section is the actual event and group details for your comp set. Each event is listed under the hotel name and includes information such as total square feet used, number of catered functions and number of total functions. These details are followed by information about the group such as previous events and contact information. You can also access the raw data from the hotel, which contains the reader board digital photos. Each event has a Request Verification link allowing you to send a request to our telesales team to gather more information about the event from the group’s meeting planner.
