Knowland Believes in Adding Employee Value, Too!

The Knowland Group is committed to improving the lives of its employees through a company culture in which they can succeed. To that end, we implemented a fitness challenge earlier this year to promote healthy lifestyle changes amongst employees. With the guidance of former Mr. Maryland, Dave Kergaard, participants developed personalized fitness and nutrition plans to help them achieve their personal goals. At the end of the three-month fitness challenge, Knowland rewarded the top winners with gift cards and extra paid time off, but the grand prize winner took home something even more special!
Knowland’s 2010 Fitness Challenge grand prize winner, Megan Tate, was awarded a free trip for two including a hassle-free flight on the company plane, a two-night stay at a hotel of her choosing, three days of paid time off, and $500. Fourteen pounds lighter, Megan was not only able to achieve her health and fitness goals, but she was awarded an awesome prize for all her hard work and dedication during the challenge! So where did Megan choose to go?
New York City of course…and now she’s back! After spending three days sightseeing, staying at the Four Seasons New York, and taking tons of photographs, she’s ready to share her NYC adventures with the Knowland community. Over the next week, Megan will be blogging about being in NYC on 9/11, the delicious food she ate, sleeping in luxury, and more. Keep checking back to read Megan’s posts and see all the fun she had!
